DESCRIPTION:TEEX Region VI OTI Education Center Supports the National Safety Stand-Down\nAs a part of the US Department of Labor Occupational Safety & Health Administration’s campaign\, TEEX Region VI OTI Education Center has planned several no-cost Fall Hazard Awareness (OSH #7405) delivery opportunities (Mesquite\, and San Antonio\, TX). \nThe National Fall Prevention Stand-Down raises awareness of preventing fall hazards in construction. Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees\, accounting for 350 of 937 construction fatalities recorded in 2015 (BLS data). Those deaths were preventable. The National Fall Prevention Stand-Down raises fall hazard awareness across the country in an effort to stop fall fatalities and injuries. \nShare your story #StandDown4Safety
