TEEX Federal Small Business Program grows by 52% this year
TEEX has exceeded its goal for the Federal Small Business Program for the first three-quarters of the government fiscal year 2013, reaching 28 % of yearly expenditures to U.S. small businesses, says Small Business Liaison Officer Terri Sager. In FY2012, the rate was 18.4%.
The TEEX Federal Small Business Program and the Texas Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) program are committed to expanding business opportunities and to promoting the successful development of qualified small and growing businesses. Sager added that federal agencies may also look at the Federal Small Business Program data as part of their decision-making process when awarding contracts.
To spread awareness and encourage participation across the agency in the Federal Small Business Program, employees who reach out to a small business are entered in a drawing at each quarterly Committee meeting. For more information, contact [email protected].
