William Micajah Berry III (General Bumpy)
Basic Peace Officer Course Tuition Reimbursement

Background
Bill Berry was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He loved to protect and serve his community. The William Micajah Berry III (General Bumpy) Tuition Reimbursement established by his sister, Arwen, and his family, will honor the long-time champion and friend of the state’s police officers by helping others begin their career in law enforcement. The endowment will provide scholarships to cover the educational expenses for at least one student to attend the police academy annually.
Upon completion of his Peace Officers training at the Texas A& M Engineering Extension (TEEX) Central Texas Police Academy, Bill served Washington and surrounding counties. This scholarship will provide one independent student the opportunity to attend (TEEX) Central Texas Police Academy. The scholarship is meant to serve as a lasting remembrance of William M. Berry III and the love that he had for protecting and serving the public. The world lost a wonderful man, and this is a way to honor his legacy. His three amazing young boys along with his wife, family, and friends will select a courageous young applicant to receive this scholarship in his memory.
