Course Description

In this Basic Firefighter Safety course, you will review the fundamentals of firefighter safety, including health and safety programs and procedures, common incidents and injuries, and consequences of exposure. The focus will be on prevention through awareness, following the hierarchy of controls, and maintenance of overall health. This one-module course will present the latest data, research, and best practices.  Ongoing knowledge checks will ensure your comprehension of the content.  At the end of the course, a final exam will assess your understanding and retention of the course content.  This course offers the end user 1.5 CEU upon completion.
