Course Description

Upon the successful completion of this course, participants will be better prepared to successfully lead the tactical incident response during,
both, the initial and expanding response phases of an industrial emergency.  This course addresses the strategic and tactical response
issues required to safely manage an expanding industrial incident..

Course delivery consists of small-group discussions, large-group discussions, and interactive group activities utilizing virtual reality simulation.

In order to receive credit for this
course, daily attendance is required. 
All participants must be registered, in advance, and attend each daily
session.   Participants will have an
opportunity to complete an end-of-course evaluation.

Attendance Requirements

Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed

It is highly recommended that participants satisfy
the following prior to the first day of class:

Interior)

ICS 100: Introduction to the Incident
Command System (ICS)

·        
ICS 200: Basic Incident Command System for
Initial Response

·        
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER Operations
or Technician Level

This course is targeted for all industrial emergency responders including:

  • Facility Supervisors serving as initial On-Scene Commanders.
  • Industrial Fire Brigade/Emergency Response Team Supervisors/Leaders.
  • Industrial Fire Chiefs.
  • Industrial Safety Personnel.

If you are attending this course as part of TEEX’s Texas Annual Fire Training School, you need to be aware of the following additional information:

Registration with payment

Complete online registration on the  TEEX website or by selecting the “REGISTER” button above.  Secure your seat in the class with payment. 

You may use a credit card or organization purchase order (PO). 

If you are using a purchase order, TEEX policy requires the PO to be submitted within 48 hours of registration, or the enrollment may be canceled. You may upload the PO through your student portal or email it as an attachment to [email protected]

Ensure your PO includes the following:

  • Agency or company name
  • Billing address
  • Contact name and phone number
  • Description of goods and/or services provided (for example the course number and name) 
  • Amount of charges
  • Authorized signature

The PO contact email needs to be either yourself or a responsible person within your organization.
