Course Description
Are you considering purchasing an sUAS (drone) or starting a UAS program but have no idea where to start?
This online course can help. It is intended for those with little to no knowledge concerning unmanned aircraft systems (drones). It provides participants with the basic knowledge needed before becoming a hobbyist UAS pilot, a commercial UAS pilot, or starting a Public Safety UAS program. The topics covered in this course are designed to educate participants on the dos and donts related to flying a sUAS along with best practices to ensure safe flights.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Attendance Requirements
To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.
Upon successful completion, you will be able to:
- Discuss basic information as they relate to sUAS.
- Understand considerations for sUAS usage in a recreational/community environment.
- Understand considerations for sUAS usage in a commercial environment.
- Understand considerations for sUAS usage in a governmental capacity.
