Course Description
ARF101 – Airport Familiarization
The course is part 1 of the TEEX FAA online refresher trainings. Airport Familiarization covers the systems used to designate runways and taxiways; airport marking, lighting, and signage; the legs of a typical traffic pattern; the impact of airport design on aircraft and rescue firefighting responses; and how to utilize all of this information during a response.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Attendance Requirements
To meet attendance requirements, participants must review each training module and complete all required course assignments, activities, quizzes, and/or end of course exam.
Suggested Audience
Firefighters seeking information related to NFPA 1003 – Standard for Airport Fire Fighter.
