Knowledge of fire cause and origin determination allows firefighters to determine cause or provide crucial information to investigators in their determination of cause. It is the responsibility of every firefighter to recognize the area where a fire began, not indicators of its cause, and to protect any physical evidence of the cause. This course offers 4 CE hours covering area of origin, fire determination, signs of arson, preserving evidence. This course offers an interactive practice session and a module quiz based off IFSTA Essentials of Firefighting 7th edition. This course satisfies: NFPA 1001 5.3.4

Students are expected to use the Essentials of Firefighting, 7th Edition Manual
