Course Description

This Offshore Platform Fire Fighting course uses both classroom-based lecture and hands-on training to provide you with the skills necessary to effectively lead an emergency response team aboard an offshore facility.

You will be trained and respond to different live-fire situations as an organized unit.  These live fire situations will involve common interior fires such as laundry, galley and accommodation fires, interior machinery and electrical fires as well as exterior process unit fires.  These scenario-based responses will involve a combination of tactics for firefighting as well as rescue response.  As part of an attached team you will access the situation, decide on a course of action and implement chosen tactics to successfully control the incident.
