Course Description
The TEEX Structural Collapse Lifting and Moving Workshop provide you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform lifting and moving operations to move debris, access collapsed structures and free trapped victims at structural collapse scenes due to natural disasters or man-made incidents. This course is two days and 20 hours of face-to-face (instructor-Led) training and includes:
- Hand tools and levers
- Basic rigging
- Working with heavy equipment on scene
- Airbags
- Load stabilization using cribbing
This course is designed for students who are looking to add Structural Collapse Lifting and Moving to their skillset and it can also serve as a lifting and moving refresher for students that have previously taken a structural collapse class. We make every effort to ensure consistent terminology and training within the discipline of Urban, Search and Rescue (US&R), so this course teaches tools, techniques, and stabilization systems consistent with the DHS/FEMA National US&R Response System Curriculum.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be issued a TEEX Certificate of Completion.
