Five employees honored with TEEX Distinguished Service Award

COLLEGE STATION – Five employees were recognized by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service with the 2012 Distinguished Service Award during the agency’s annual reception and awards ceremony at the Brazos County Expo Center.

Receiving the agency’s highest employee honor were Sam Cox, Training Specialist with Public Safety & Security; Kevin Gumienny, Curriculum Coordinator with the Infrastructure Training & Safety Institute; Mark Jackson, Industrial Fire Training Manager with the Emergency Services Training Institute; Mark Posada, TEEX Manager of Education & Training Initiatives; and Karen Tuttle, Associate Training Specialist with the Infrastructure Training & Safety Institute.

For more than 25 years, the Distinguished Service Award has recognized employees who exhibit attributes such as dedication, extraordinary effort, concern for quality, a positive attitude and overall excellence. Award recipients received a framed certificate and TEEX coin, as well as a monetary award.

Employees are nominated for the award by their coworkers and selected by TEEX Division Directors and Senior Executive Staff. Eligible employees must have at least three years of service.
