Holt named Vice Chair of IAFC Technology Council

COLLEGE STATION – Caleb Holt, Manager of the TEEX Product Development Center, has been named the Vice Chair of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) Technology Council. He was appointed to his second two-year term on the council by IAFC President and Board Chair G. Keith Bryant, during the Fire-Rescue International conference in August.

The IAFC Technology Council concentrates on emerging and existing technology and issues relating to the use of technology in the fire and emergency services fields to assist firefighters, chief officers and emergency managers. The Council serves as a knowledge center for technological developments that affect the fire service and provides a forum for knowledge exchange among stakeholders.

In the announcement, Chief Bryant said: “The IAFC Board of Directors is extremely grateful for members like you who care so much about the IAFC that you are willing to accept these additional responsibilities in an already busy schedule. We appreciate your readiness to provide your time, knowledge and commitment to the IAFC.”

As manager of the Product Development Center (PDC), Holt works with national and international clients, helping them identify the competitive landscape for new products, new applications for existing products and new or existing technologies. He holds a master’s degree in Agribusiness and a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University.
