Moore named presiding officer of Texas Commission on Fire Protection

COLLEGE STATION – Robert Moore, with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), has been named presiding officer of the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP). He was also reappointed by Gov. Greg Abbott to a term to expire in 2021.

Moore serves as the Division Director of TEEX’s Emergency Services Training Institute and Chief of the Brayton Fire Training Field. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, National Fire Protection Association, Board of Certified Safety Professionals, State Firefighters’ and Fire Marshals’ Association (SFFMA), and SFFMA Industrial Emergency Services Board.

Moore is a former assistant fire chief and paramedic for the Channelview (TX) Volunteer Fire Department, and holds an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science from Blinn College.
