Sinopec Corp. employees earn CSHO in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical

Sixteen employees of Sinopec Corp. (China Petroleum and Chemical Corp.) are the first group from an international company to complete TEEX’s Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) program in its entirety over the course of three months. The employees, who began the CSHO program in April, earned the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical CSHO certificate at the end of June. To earn the certificate, the group completed more than 330 hours of safety-specific training delivered by three TEEX divisions: Professional & Regulatory Training, Emergency Services Training Institute and Engineering, Utilities & Public Works Training Institute. “All three divisions were involved in the delivery of the CSHO Program and in its success,” said Project Manager Brad Novotny with PRT. “Sinopec is already in talks about sending a second group of 22 managers in October to continue in the CSHO program, and with the joint cooperation and deliveries of the three divisions, TEEX is looking at the potential expansion of training beyond the CSHO.”
