Breaching and Explosives EOT220 Explosive Breacher Entry
Explosive entry continues to grow in American Law Enforcement as a viable tactical option for high risk warrants and hostage rescues. The number of explosive breaches has increased over the last few years but remains relatively low compared to the number of tactical teams in the United States. In this five-day course, explosive entries will be made through Class 1 Steel doors as well as solid wood and hollow core doors. Participants will learn the construction of distraction devices and the use of other explosives by conducting approximately 60 detonations using various amounts of explosives to ensure proper logging, placement and application of methods used to make entry in a safe but affective manner. The TEEX Explosive Breaching course is geared toward increasing the knowledge and skills of SWAT, Tactical, and EOD teams.

This online course is designed to enhance the knowledge gained in the Inmate Health Care: Basic Medical course. The content is appropriate for experienced jail security staffers and supervisors. Topics include; agency policies concerning patient well-being, major health issues seen in the jail environment, and specialized medical issues. Participants will also learn about motivation and outcomes of malingering as it relates to health. The practices learned in this course may be superseded by your agency departmental policy.

This course is designed for Hazardous Device School certified Bomb Technicians or equivalents desiring specialized training in the recognition and identification of military ordnance. Participants will be provided with comprehensive training through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on activities designed to increase technician knowledge and response capabilities of state, local, and federal emergency responders.The National Bomb Squad Commanders Advisory Board (NBSCAB) recognizes completion of this course as meeting the standards for PSBS ordnance training and certification IAW with the 2016 National Guidelines for Bomb Technicians.The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Certified Explosives Specialist (CES) training program mandates this course.This course meets Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) requirements Course #78027.

Firearms LET572 Firearms Proficiency Officer Update
Not all law enforcement agencies in Texas are large enough, nor can they necessarily afford, to train a firearms instructor. TCOLE 218.9 Continuing Firearms Proficiency Requirements went into effect February 1, 2020 and grants provisions for an agency or entity to designate a firearms proficiency officer.No definition of a firearms proficiency officer is given nor does the rule state the designated proficiency officer needs to be a certified firearms instructor. Section 218.9 sets minimum standards for annual firearms proficiency and the standards for documentation of those proficiencies.This course of instruction is designed to teach an individual designated by their agency as a firearms proficiency officer the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) rules for designing and documenting annual firearms qualification for their respective agency when no trained firearms instructor is available. This course will help you develop the additional knowledge, skills, and techniques needed to organize and teach firearms courses.
