VA Education Benefits Eligible

Our VA Education Benefits Eligible Tower Technician Level One (CEL100) course gives you a challenging two-week, 88-hour learning experience. In addition to traditional classroom training, you will participate in multiple field exercises and other hands-on training scenarios. This includes practicing on our new monopole mounted in our Utilities Training Hangar (see photo on right).

There are numerous funding options available for training.

Physically Challenging Training

Participants will be required to safety operate machinery and conduct field exercises at a height of over 100 feet while carrying approximately 70 lbs. of tools and equipment. In order to successfully complete these exercises, participants must be aware of any medical and/or physical limitations that might prevent them from participating in such activities.

Warriors 4 Wireless (W4W) Partnership

TEEX has partnered with Warriors 4 Wireless (W4W)opens in a new tab to train veterans on the installation of the rapidly expanding 5G wireless network. W4W is a charitable organization existing solely to help veterans find decent paying careers in the growing 5G wireless workforce.  It has invested well over $1 million of contributed funds to lower veteran expenses while they train to join this promising career field. W4W has connected more than 2,700 veterans to wireless career opportunities and it stands ready to help you.

Tower TechnicianCEL100Tower Technician Level One
The Tower Technician Level One course answers the need for qualified technicians with comprehensive cutting edge technical training provided to participants with an interest in the industry. This VA Education Benefits Eligible course gives you a challenging two-week, 88-hour learning experience. In addition to traditional classroom training, each participant has the opportunity to engage in multiple field exercises and other hands-on training scenarios; all followed by scenario testing used to determine student comprehension. Registered participants will be challenged physically during this intensive technical training program and should be prepared for climbing exercises while carrying specialized tools used to perform tower prop installation tasks. Successful graduates are eligible for the Tower Apprentice Program supported by industry hiring partners. All qualified students will have the opportunity to become a member of a four-person team responsible for deploying next generation Wireless Networks. Show less
