Fighting a fire will help A&M students ‘smoke’ those final exams

Students enrolled in ‘Fire Protection Engineering Concepts for Industrial Facilities’ at Texas A&M University get a chance to be a firefighter for a day. The course is offered through the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center and taught by subject matter professionals with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).

TEEX offers workshop to help communities prepare for active shooter incidents

Preparing for an active shooter incident is an unfortunate reality facing communities. Having a plan and exercising that plan is vital. TEEX is conducting an Active Shooter Exercise Development Workshop for communities to learn to design, develop and deliver a Tabletop Exercise for local responders and organizations to work together.

Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service to provide training for National Urban Search & Rescue Response System

TEEX has been selected by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to develop and deliver curriculum for Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) training and exercises for all 5,800 members of the National US&R Response System.
