An online tool developed by TEEXs Knowledge Engineering Center will help Economic Development Districts (EDDs) to more easily manage, track, document and share information about community economic development projects.
TEEX’s Technology & Economic Development Division is conducting a Hurricane Ike impact study of eight Texas counties with the help of a $500,000 grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. The 18-month project will involve collecting data on the economic impact of the 2008 hurricane in each of eight affected counties.
TEEX and the Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC) have received a $1.1 million grant to provide training on AS9100 quality standards and lean manufacturing techniques to 19 Texas companies that supply the aerospace industry.
