Bennett to speak at the TEEX Holiday Reception on Dec. 13

Dr. G. Kemble Bennett, former TEEX Director and Dean and Vice Chancellor of Engineering at Texas A&M University will be the keynote speaker at the TEEX Holiday Reception on Friday, Dec. 13 at the Brazos Expo Center. The event will begin at 10:30 and lunch will be served. The menu will include beef and chicken fajitas and all the trimmings.

Canned goods will be collected for the Brazos Food Bank, and one division or department will take home the Golden Can Award. Also, put on your best face for the employee photos (yes, some of us haven’t had a new photo since 2003!) Watch for more information coming soon!

The annual “Golden Can” award is again up for grabs.  This award will be presented to the division that collects the most weight of food per division, per person benefiting the Brazos Valley Food Bank at the TEEX Holiday Reception.  Collection bins from the Brazos Valley Food Bank will be distributed today or tomorrow (pending weather) to each division HQ.  The donations will be collected and weighed on Tuesday Dec. 10th.

Last year there were numerous requests for a monetary option and we have been able to accommodate that this year. Monetary donations will be accepted by check only.  Checks MUST be made out to the Brazos Valley Food Bank. Checks not meeting that criteria will not be accepted.  Each one dollar of donation will equal 5 lbs. of food and will be added to each division’s total.  This ratio comes directly from the Brazos Valley Food Bank.  Check donations will be collected by Will Welch during a scheduled time at each division location.  A receipt will be given for each check donation.

If you have any questions, please contact Will Welch.
