Oklahoma City Community College joins with TEEX to offer specialized safety training
The two organizations signed the agreement on Sept. 24 in Oklahoma City during an open house. The agreement officially recognizes Oklahoma City Community College Professional Development Institute as a host training organization for the TEEX Region VI OSHA Training Institute Education Center. Under the agreement, OCCC is approved to teach TEEX courses using its own verified instructors and facilitators.
The agreement was signed by Ron Peddy, Director of the Region VI OSHA Training Institute Education Center, and Lemuel Bardeguez, Vice President for Community Development at OCCC. Also attending the ceremony was Bill Stansbury, TEEX Safety & Health Program Director.
“We’re excited to partner with the OCCC Professional Development Institute to provide more opportunities to meet the demand for safety and health training and ultimately reduce workplace incidents in Oklahoma City and surrounding areas,” Peddy said.
The TEEX Region VI OSHA Training Institute Education Center provides OSHA-authorized safety and health training in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and New Mexico.
