Course Description
The Annual Fire & Public Safety Academy in Edinburg Texas is held annually in February and March. The school classes span four consecutive weekends and provide training to First Responders in the region. This school includes hands-on training along with classroom training. Course Completion Requirements
Course Attire

Participant Must Provide
- a photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
Attendance Requirements
This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements.
Recommended
Due to the nature of hands-on training courses, a physical examination is recommended prior to attending this Area School.

- Vehicle Extrication
- Safe Practices for Traffic Incident Responders
- Taking Action Against Cancer in the Fire Service
- Courage to Be Safe
- Various FOOLS course deliveries
- Rope Rescue Technician
