Course Description
Four steps to building quality leaders and inspiring highly motivated followers. This is a National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) course.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course.
Course Completion Requirements
Participant Must Provide
A photo identification on the first day of class. See the Participant Handbook opens in a new tab for approved forms of identification and additional guidelines.
PPE must be NFPA-approved. See the Student Safety Manual to review PPE requirements for level 5.
Laptop or tablet to view student manual and exercises.
Attendance Requirements
Class attendance is an essential part of the education process and participants in TEEX courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. This course requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirements, for example a field exercise that cannot be missed
Upon successful completion, you will be able to:

- The human element can often defy conventional approaches to leadership.
- Four philosophies, forming the acronym “L.E.A.D.,” can be adopted as a foundation for effectively leading people.
- “L.E.A.D.” can be used in virtually any interaction to achieve results that improve individual and team performance.
