College Station, Texas – The entire TEEX Family is saddened by the death of Deputy Sergeant Investigator Adam Sowders of the Burleson County Sheriff’s Department and offers our condolences to his family, friends and co-workers. Sergeant Sowders was a 2003 graduate of the TEEX Central Texas Police Academy. In addition to his service in law enforcement, Sgt. Sowders was a volunteer firefighter with the Somerville Fire Department and attended many hours of training at TEEX’s Brayton Fire Training Field.
“Deputy Sowders embodied the true heart of public service, serving not only as a law enforcement professional for the Burleson County Sheriff’s Department but also as a volunteer firefighter with the City of Somerville. Our thoughts are with his family and the members of his department during this very difficult time. We shall never forget”
