Nearly 1,000
emergency responders attended the 9th annual TEEX Leadership
Development Symposium last month in Frisco, TX. This year’s conference broke
previous attendance records, drawing attendees from Texas and other states.

More than
two dozen top-notch speakers presented on topics related to leadership, safety,
law and policy, financial decision-making, health and nutrition, generational
differences in the workplace and more.

Sessions were
designed to meet continuing education requirements for Texas emergency
responders. There was no registration fee for Texas first responders to attend
the conference, which is sponsored annually by TEEX and funded, in part, by
Texas general revenue.

The 2018
symposium will be held Jan. 8-10 in San
Marcos, TX.
