LandBros Aerial Receives UAS Credentials under Part 107
COLLEGE
STATION — LandBros Aerial has received credentialing through the National Unmanned Aircraft Systems Credentialing Program (NUASCP), a program developed by
the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) and the Lone Star UAS
Center of Excellence and Innovation (LSUASC) at Texas A&M University —
Corpus Christi.
Based in
Baton Rouge, LA, LandBros uses sUAS technology to provide unmanned data collection
solutions for refinery, petrochemical and civil infrastructure. Services
include industrial testing, 3D modeling, turnaround support, topographic
mapping, emergency response and infrastructure inspections. LandBros strives to
provide safety, time and cost efficiencies in all operations.
“UAS operations can be a low risk activity,
but only when completed by a qualified, aviation specific operator,” says Danny
Landry, President of LandBros Aerial. “The NUASCP creates a standardized system
to assist in validating UAS service providers and ensuring that operators are
qualified for operating in high-risk environments.”

credentialing program promotes safe and legal commercial UAS operations, and
provides 3rd party vetting of operators and vendors, including a
live-flight operational audit,” said Steven Williams, Director of Operations
for the National sUAS Credentialing Program. “LandBros Aerial has joined a
select group of companies that have voluntarily completed an audit of their
operational and safety policies, procedures and qualifications to operate
Section 333 exempted or Part 107 small UAS.”
TEEX and the
Lone Star UAS Center of Excellence and Innovation (LSUASC),
State of Texas FAA UAS Test Site, offer Section 333 exemption as well as Part
107 holders the opportunity to receive a 3rd party vetting. The
process includes an “Oral” and “Live-Flight” operational audit of all of the
company’s operational and safety policies, procedures and qualifications
required through the 333 exemption or Part 107 process.
Qualified
operators that complete the program are provided with a certificate that serves
to differentiate them from other exemption holders as voluntarily enrolling in
and satisfactorily completing a program to further demonstrate their ability to
safely and effectively operate Section 333 exempted or Part 107 small UAS.
