Public invited to firefighting demonstration on July 25

COLLEGE STATION –  The public is invited to witness firefighters battle a wide range of heavy blazes at the annual TEEX Public Firefighting Demonstration scheduled for Wednesday, July 25, at Brayton Fire Training Field. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the event is free.

Public Firefighting Demo Night is a tradition of TEEX summer fire training schools, during which more than 2,000 firefighters from across the globe gather in College Station for training. On the evening of July 25, these firefighting students and instructors will extinguish flames on numerous  full-scale, live-fire training props, while the public may watch from a safe distance.

The event is held during the week of the Municipal Fire Training School, the largest school of its kind in the world. Public Firefighting Demo Night is hosted by the Emergency Services Training Institute of the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).
