TEEX OSHA Center ranks No.1 – fourth year in a row

TEEX’s OSHA Training Institute Southwest Education Center has trained more participants than any other OSHA Education Center in the nation – making it No. 1 for the fourth consecutive year. The U.S. Department of Labor recognized the center for providing safety and health training for 5,673 participants through 319 classes in fiscal year 2007. The number of participants was four times the center’s annual goal of 1,400, and TEEX offered more than three times the average number of courses presented by all OSHA Education Centers nationwide. The Southwest Education Center also processed 42,422 OSHA Outreach Program student cards.

The center received an “outstanding” performance rating from the U.S. Department of Labor for FY2007 in number of students trained, number of courses offered and distribution of courses throughout the five-state region. The TEEX OSHA Southwest Education Center is headquartered in Mesquite and serves OSHA Region 6, which includes Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas and New Mexico.
