TEEX Announces Aviation Training School

The Texas Engineering Extension Service will be taking its training to the skies.

TEEX and the Houston Airport System will partner to create an aviation training facility at Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The program will at first specialize in firefighting and aircraft rescue training when it comes to domestic and international aviation representatives, according to TEEX.

“It is our intent to establish an aviation academy that offers a wide range of aviation disciplines,” said Rick Vacar, the director of aviation for HAS, in a statement. “Airports all over the world are expanding and developing at a rapid pace, we are already being asked to provide assistance and we think this partnership with TEEX and the new facility will benefit the aviation industry as a whole.”

“TEEX is excited about the possibilities the signing of this agreement presents,” added Gary Sera, the director of TEEX. “We pride ourselves on providing quality training and are pleased to be associated with HASDC in this new training endeavor.”

TEEX has done training on a myriad of fronts, including its famous Brayton Fire School along with its homeland security work.
