Product Development Center hosts demo of mobile utility system

The TEEX Product Development Center hosted a hands-on demonstration and evaluation of Titan Energy’s new Sentry 5000 Mobile Utility System at TEEX’s Disaster City® in last month. The all-in-one utility support unit includes power generation, purified water system, heating & cooling, perimeter lighting and satellite communications. It is designed for emergency response, disaster recovery and deployment to remote areas where standard services are unavailable.

The TEEX PDC arranged for emergency responders and emergency managers, state agency and municipal officials to see the Sentry 5000 in action at Disaster City®, where the unit was put to work purifying water drawn from a nearby lake.

“Demonstrating within the Disaster City® complex was a tremendous opportunity for our mobile disaster response equipment, the SENTRY 5000,” said Dean Pellegata, Business Development Manager with Titan Energy Development of New Hudson, MI. “With TEEX’s capability of simulating a multitude of catastrophic disaster events, the Sentry 5000 was put to a real-world field test on a scale that could not be simulated at our own facility.

“We were very fortunate to be invited by the TEEX PDC to participate in the event,” he added. “Titan Energy and the Sentry 5000 look forward to participating in future training events with TEEX.”

The PDC is currently working with Titan Energy officials on market research and on possible deployment opportunities for field testing and evaluating the Sentry 5000 in actual disaster conditions, said TEEX PDC Director JD Bolich.
