Industrial, agency and private sector emergency response personnel have access to one of the largest open enrollment and training schedules of its type. Spill prevention and control courses provide the information and techniques necessary to supervise employees and contractors in the control and management of a spill response operation. Courses for both coastal and fresh water conditions allow participants to apply technical classroom presentations to hands-on exercises in simulated response operations. Classes are modular and easily can be customized to specific training needs. Most courses are conducted at the Center for Marine Training and Safety located in Galveston, Texas. Onsite training also is available and can be a cost-effective solution. Training meets OSHA 29 CFR 19120.120 annual HAZWOPER refresher training requirements. NIMS/ICS training, introduction to oil and gas, process safety management survival, and other maritime courses are available.
Safety First
All students participating in training at TEEX Brayton Fire Training Field are required to follow all guidelines in the Student Safety Manual for the fire field.
