The course satisfies the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1041 Standard for Fire and Emergency Services Instructor Professional Qualifications, Chapter 7, Live Fire Instructor. The class is designed around classroom lectures, group discussions, and group exercises to enhance skills needed to act as a live fire instructor / Instructor in-charge and safely provide live fire training to emergency responders. Participants will develop skills such as applying safety guidelines, implementing live fire training procedures and supervising live fire training evolution events. Participants will be able to perform the duties required of a Live Fire Instructor and Live Fire Instructor in-charge to safely provide live fire training to emergency responders.
