800+ emergency responders gather for Leadership Symposium

The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service is presenting the 2013 Leadership Development Symposium Jan. 14 – 16 in Frisco, Texas. A cadre of top-notch speakers will provide up-to-date information on leadership, management, safety, budgeting and other relevant topics. The theme for the symposium, which is conducted by TEEX Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI), is “Take Charge.”

Strategic National Stockpile exercise dispenses medication to 780 people in one hour

TEEX recently facilitated and evaluated a Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Exercise at the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (PSJA) High School in Pharr, Texas. The mission of the Strategic National Stockpile Program is to ensure the availability and rapid deployment of life-saving pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment necessary to counter the effect of biological, chemical, nerve agents and in naturally occurring disasters like public health pandemics.
