2018 Spring Fire School draws over 400 firefighters, guest instructors
Participants could choose from 16 courses, including firefighting, hazmat, rescue, fire investigator, emergency medical response, airport firefighting, fire instructor and more. New courses offered at this year’s school included Fire Officer II, Incident Safety Officer and Incident Management for Industrial On-Scene Commanders — Level 1.
“This Spring School represented the best example of One TEEX, One Team,’ as everyone from ESTI (Emergency Services Training Institute) and others from the agency joined forces to ensure our customers received top-quality training and assistance,” said Annual Fire Schools Training Manager Jeff Rhoads.
The Spring Fire Training School is conducted each year by TEEX in conjunction with the State Firefighters’ and Fire Marshals’ Association of Texas. Three additional Fire Training Schools for municipal, industrial and Spanish firefighters and emergency personnel are held at Brayton Fire Training Field during July each year.
