Community Resilience for Senior Leaders courses have been designed specifically to meet the needs of the nation’s elected and appointed officials, as well as jurisdictional-level executives responsible for emergency preparedness and response operations within their communities. Using seminar and classroom-based instruction, courses focus on awareness, management and planning to provide first response agency officials with the tools to prepare for, and deal effectively, with a wide variety of emergency situations. The comprehensive list of topics takes officials from pre-crisis to recovery, addressing issues such as preparedness planning and its challenges, roles and responsibilities, risk management, recovery operations, improvement strategies and community resilience. Courses also address communication skills such as public communication in a crisis and multi-agency coordination.

The course was outstanding. I went from basic knowledge on fires to being able to capture flaming valves and flanges, extinguish open hydrocarbon fires and conduct search and rescue in a short five days….This is a highly professional course.
