Central Texas Police Academy (CTPA)

Established in 1953, CTPA is Texas’ oldest law enforcement academy offering multiple TCOLE licensing pathways.

Criminal Justice Academy (CJA)

Established in 2008, CJA provides extensive training through robust instructional and skills-based programming.

Texas Forensic Science Academy (TFSA)

Founded in 2009, TFSA delivers accredited forensic training worldwide.

Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Class

TEEX Harley-Davidson Motorcycle

Harley‑Davidson and TEEX deliver combined classroom and drive‑track police motorcycle training.

Texas Private Security

TEEX is licensed through Texas DPS as a Class F, Class Y, and Class O Training School.

About Law Enforcement and Protective Services

The TEEX Law Enforcement and Protective Services division provides specialized training for police officers, law enforcement dispatchers, security officers, and jail and detention personnel through traditional and online training. Our courses range in topics suitable for basic to advanced professionals and a majority are eligible for Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) credit. Course offerings include basic peace officer course, arrest and control tactics, special weapons and tactics (SWAT), explosive breaching, crash investigations, forensics and investigations, first line supervisor, and a variety of instructor level specialty courses.
