Alotto to serve on national association for transportation technical assistance

Tony Alotto, Director of the Lone Star LTAP (Local Technical Assistance Program) Center, has been tapped to represent the South Central LTAP region on the National Local Technical Assistance Program Association. He will represent the states in the South Central LTAP: Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and New Mexico.

Reduced-cost workforce training summit coming to San Antonio

Texas A&M University – San Antonio will host a workforce education extravaganza on May 19-23 at the Infrastructure and Safety Summit, a training event sponsored by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX). The summit will include reduced-cost training in code enforcement, utilities, safety and health/OSHA, disaster management, transportation and highway safety, environmental, and water/wastewater.

TEEX delivers Safe Drinking Water training and assistance across the nation

Small water systems in 41 states and three U.S. territories have benefited from TEEX training and expertise in drinking water and wastewater operations in the past year, thanks to a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency. Nearly 2,500 water system personnel received no-cost training in how to comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act.
