Bush Presidential Library & TEEX to host ‘9/11 Remembered’ ceremony

The Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) and the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum are hosting “9/11 Remembered” on Friday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. This special ceremony is being held both in memory of the 2,977 lives that were lost on Sept. 11, 2001 and to honor the many living and deceased heroes who risked their lives that day and in the days after the attacks on the United States.

Texas Task Force 1 demobilizes after completing 13 missions in Joplin, Mo.

Texas Task Force 1 (TX-TF1) specialty rescue teams have been demobilized by the State of Missouri. The team was comprised of 8 members and 3 canines. During their deployment in Joplin, Mo., the team participated in 13 search missions, and searched several miles and significant areas of interest such as apartment buildings, nursing homes and residential areas.
