TEEX and Texas811 will present a safety rodeo roundup with highway safety equipment displays, safety training, a mock gas line hit, and a heavy equipment safety demonstration and competitive rodeo.

Warriors 4 Wireless and TEEX are collaborating on a new course that trains veterans for civilian careers as Wireless Tower Technicians. The program has been approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans for GI Bill education benefits.

Texas A&M University – San Antonio will host a workforce education extravaganza on May 19-23 at the Infrastructure and Safety Summit, a training event sponsored by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX). The summit will include reduced-cost training in code enforcement, utilities, safety and health/OSHA, disaster management, transportation and highway safety, environmental, and water/wastewater.

McAllen, Texas, will be the center of an education extravaganza on March 24-28, when more than 400 people are expected to attend the Infrastructure and Safety Summit, a training event offering 30 courses and sponsored by TEEX.

Small water systems in 41 states and three U.S. territories have benefited from TEEX training and expertise in drinking water and wastewater operations in the past year, thanks to a grant from the Environmental Protection Agency. Nearly 2,500 water system personnel received no-cost training in how to comply with the Safe Drinking Water Act.
