TEEX delivering grant-funded Death Investigation Training, Workshops in South Texas

Four, tuition-free, Crime Scene Investigation classes will be offered over the next four months in South Texas. The training is being funded by the Governor’s Office, Texas Criminal Justice Division, to provide South Texas law enforcement officers and judicial representatives specialized training through the Texas Forensic Science Academy and Texas Justice Court Training Center located at Texas State University.

Keeping the peace in the Brazos Valley: TEEX Central Texas Police Academy graduates 22 new officers

Twenty-two new peace officers are graduating from the Central Texas Police Academy on June 6, after 18 weeks of comprehensive training. The graduation ceremony will be held at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum’s Annenberg Presidential Conference Center at 5 p.m.

Texas A&M forensics students selected to attend specialized TEEX training

An innovative partnership established in 2011 between Texas A&M University and the Texas Forensic Science Academy administered by TEEX provides an opportunity for 10 students seeking a FIVS degree to participate in specialized training courses taught in a “Mini-mester” format and hosted at the Texas A&M Riverside Campus.

TEEX launches online Death Investigation course for law enforcement officers

TEEX has launched an online version of its Death Investigation course, thanks to funding from the Texas Office of the Governor – Criminal Justice Division (CJD). The 40-hour course is offered through the Texas Forensic Science Academy and is recognized by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and the International Association of Identification (IAI) for continuing education credit.
